Founded in 2000 as the Bucks County Motet Singers, we have grown from an intimate group of choral friends to an established musical presence in the Delaware Valley. We have a very active Board of Directors, who work hand in hand with our Artistic Director to achieve excellence in all aspects of our development.
Our musical focus can be best summed up as "roots and wings." Our programming spans several centuries, honoring the rich a cappella choral tradition that springs out of motets of the Renaissance -- our "roots," and also presenting audiences with wide-ranging musical offerings from the best of contemporary composers, which demonstrate the "wings" of the choral musical future.
We rehearse weekly in Yardley, PA, where we are Artists-in-Residence at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. We welcome support and involvement from community members; there are many volunteer opportunities.
Sign up for our email list and you'll receive advance notice of our concert schedule and information about other Cantus Novus activities.
